I have been living in the small adorable community of Fairhope now for almost one year and have fallen in love.  The locals here are welcoming and the town just not be any cuter.  Being from Louisiana you know I’m picky about where to eat for not only the food but definitely the ambiance as well is critical.  Now I have not been to all the restaurants here, but have focused on mostly the downtown area and here is what I’ve found.

My go to place is Master Joe’s sushi and it is worth the wait.  Even though there are no reservations and the place is small, the sushi pizza and the Russian Revolution were my favorite.  I don’t really care of uncooked but my husband does and everything he has eaten was amazing!  Let’s just say that all the restaurants I will mention have an excellent ambiance or else they would not be on the list of course.

Sage – is Middle Eastern Food and I had the Chicken Sharma and it was excellent as well as the service with the owner serving and the husband is the chef.  Great couple.

Another Broken Egg for breakfast blew a big group of my Louisiana people away with the taste and the portion size!  Then again I think the chain is from Louisiana.  Great staff as well.

Dragonfly had incredible tacos, a little small but definitely tasty.

R Bistro we sit at the bar and have dessert.  The staff is great and the food is ok, but they always go out of their way to figure out a way to make a special dish for their guests if they don’t see something on the menu.

Bay Breeze Cafe is only open until 3pm but worth a lunch trip to get the 1/2 wrap and tomato soup.  All of them are delicious.

Of Course everyone goes to Panini Pete’s and it’s a must for the beignets with lemon, wow!  Paninis are incredible as well of course.

Pizone’s Italian restaurant has the absolute best white pizza with broccoli and tomatoes and pair that with the Gouda/crawfish dish and OMG, you will need a heart monitor for the fat content but it is worth it and I don’t even like pizza.  Also an A+ for the outside atmosphere in the alley with the music on a beautiful night.

Mr. Gene’s Beans is the go to for all locals and visitors for ice cream and coffee on Del La Mare.

And last for now is Soul Bowlz which is just open from 9-3pm and makes these incredible fruit bowls all natural with lots of healthy stuff in them and smoothies.  There is not one person I have brought there that doesn’t give me 3 thumbs up.

Lots more to try and will keep you updated  Have to give a shout out to the part time job The Happy Olive that sells Oils and balsamics and has lots of goodies to taste each day and sample.
